Protonated Flue Gas Desulfurization Solvent Has a High Cost Performance

      Recently, a kind of high-efficiency and environment-friendly flue gas desulfurization solvent - JH-17 reproducible protonated flue gas desulfurization solvent has passed the technical appraisement by Sichuan Institute of Fine Chemical Industry Research and Design. The new-type desulfurization solvent can absorb the sulfur dioxide of the flue and gas from the industrial emission and convert them into serviceable products such as sulphur and sulfuric acid. In that way the solvent can not only abate industrial pollution but also create economic benefits for the enterprises. This technology has also obtained extensive attention from a series of desulfurization enterprises such as steel mills and power plants.

      The desulfurization solvent is reciprocal solvent with multiple chemical substances without toxicity and volatility. Comparing with the similar or competing products, it has a higher absorptive capacity, lower energy consumption in resolution, better oxidation and corrosion resistance, lesser loss in operation and lower price. In all, it is a kind of desulfurization solvent with high cost performance.

      The main principle of the technology is to absorb the sulfur dioxide of the flue and gas in the absorber with the desulfurization solvent, and resolve the absorbed sulfur dioxide under the effect of the rising temperature and steam stripping in the stripper, in that way the high-purity SO2 may be obtained. Meanwhile, the resolved desulfurization solvent will enter the absorber to absorb SO2 in the flue and gas again. Sequentially, the desulfurization solvent will be of cyclic regeneration and can continuously remove the SO2 from the flue and gas.

      With the support of Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province, JH-17 reproducible protonated flue gas desulfurization solvent has been successfully applied in a set of 2000Nm3/h flue gas purification device and achieved satisfactory effects. The removing rate of SO2 in flue gas by the solvent 99%, and in the purified gas, SO250mg/Nm3. The desulfurization has a wide adaptive norm and the removed SO2 may be recycled and made into the industrial raw materials with the concentration above 99%.
